I am an ecologist in the Terrestrial Restoration Ecology Lab at the University of Washington. My current research focuses on vegetation dynamics and land management in the sagebrush-steppe of the Columbia Basin (visit our project website here).

I use a variety of field-based and analytical approaches to address questions at the interface of plant community ecology and global change ecology. I am especially interested in the effects of interacting agents, such as invasions and land-use change, on ecosystem structure and function. I am also interested in trans-disciplinary information flow in ecology and management applications of ecological theory.
