I am a postdoctoral research ecologist in the Terrestrial Restoration Ecology Lab at the University of Washington. My current research focuses on vegetation dynamics and rangeland management in the sagebrush-steppe of the Columbia Basin (visit our project website here).
I use a variety of field-based and analytical approaches to answer pressing questions at the interface of plant community ecology and global change ecology. I am especially interested in the effects of interacting agents of change, such as invasions and land-use change, on community structure and function in semi-arid ecosystems. I am also interested in trans-disciplinary information flow in ecology, and using ecological theory in applied settings.
